MANNES PRODUCTIONS, INC. was founded in 1992 by Elena Mannes. Over the past years, Mannes Productions has produced award-winning films and videos for the networks, public broadcasting  and cable television. The programs have been distributed nationally and internationally in the home video and educational markets. Elena Mannes’s major productions have received extremely favorable reviews in THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, THE NEW YORK TIMES, THE LOS ANGELES TIMES, and the BOSTON GLOBE among other publications.

Mannes has worked with numerous celebrated professionals including Bill Moyers, Diane Sawyer, Dan Rather, George Lucas, Jessye Norman, Bobby McFerrin and Yo-Yo Ma.

Mannes Productions has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the NAMM Foundation (National Association of Music Manufacturers) , Mary Rodgers Guettel, the Harris Foundation,  WNET, WGBH and other foundations.

The company’s productions have been honored with national Emmy’s and Cine Golden Eagles. In addition, Elena Mannes has received two Director’s Guild of America Awards and a George Foster Peabody Award.
